Department Information
This is the official Georgia State Patrol handbook, this specific section will cover the general guidelines & expectations of the department.
Section 1 | Department Policies
1.1 Activity Policy: Once Troopers have passed the training process, & officially become a Trooper within the ranks of Georgia State Patrol, they are expected to complete the weekly quota of 1 hour. Troopers are excused from this quota if they are on an administrative leave (4/7 days of the week.), quotas may be modified, voided, or lowered at any given time for multiple reasons. Command members are issued a 30 minute quota as they have other responsibilities to deal with.
1.2 Administrative Leave Policy: Troopers are allowed to request an administrative leave (Leave of Absence.) at any time, for any personal reason they may have. Administrative leaves must be at least 7 days long, these leaves may not exceed the 3 week limit. After requesting a leave, Troopers must wait 2 weeks before requesting another one, however if you absolutely NEED to you may always talk to a Command member. To request an administrative leave, you may run the command /leave request.
1.3 Retirement Policy: Troopers are allowed to retire at any given time, to request a retirement open a support ticket. Keep in mind you must follow the retirement policy below.
After retiring, troopers must wait at least 2 weeks before reinstating. Troopers are only eligble for reinstatement 8 weeks after the 2 week period is over, retired command & above have an additional 2 weeks to reinstate. Anything over a 6 weeks of retirement requires an official ride-along prior to be reinstated.
Troopers who leave the department are expected to transfer all department assets over to the department. We also ask all troopers after retiring to not start drama internally or externally regarding the department, and instead sort it privately in a support ticket.
1.4 Leaking Policy: All Troopers of the department are strictly prohibited from disclosing any private information or documents to non department members.
1.5 Division Policy: All Troopers of the department that reside within a sub-division of the department are expected to maintain activity within their division. Additionally in order to be eligible for a promotion to a supervisor spot you must be active within at least 1 department division.
